Looking for a hobby you can take with you wherever you go? Stitch your way to work on the subway. From the passenger seat, stitch your way to the the end of a road trip. Stitch your way through a Netflix marathon or Sunday night football.

In Embroidery 101*, you will learn four basic stitches: running stitch, back stitch, split stitch,  and French knots. By the end of the class you'll be stitching these techniques with ease. Feeling ambitious? You will have the opportunity to try your hand at other techniques, including the satin stitch and the chain stitch.

*Did you take Embroidery 101 already? No problem. Join us, and we can get you started on some more advanced techniques, aka Embroidery 201. Plus, since you have the kit already, you'll receive a Sublime Stitching voucher in the amount of $20.

Your class fee includes a starter kit, valued at $25. This kit includes everything you need to start stitching. You'll receive an embroidery hoop, needles, threads, scissors, and iron-on patterns. The fee also includes a piece of fabric to practice your stitches and a hanky to stitch. {IDEA CORNER: Stitch the corner of the hanky and keep for yourself or give away. Stitch the middle of the hanky and frame with an embroidery hoop. Hang on your wall, or give away.} 

If you sign-up and pay for the class by Friday, March 17th, you'll also receive a $10 gift certificate to Birch St. House & Garden.
