Please join me in celebrating the shop's 15th anniversary with a little art, a little music, a little refreshments and a lot of stories.
It's hard to believe 15 years have come and gone. BSHG is still going strong, thanks to our much loved and valued customers, turned friends and family. I wouldn't be living out my childhood dream, if it weren't for you!
In appreciation for your continued patronage, I'm hosting a special Meet the Artist opening for local artist Rachel Paxton. Her work embodies the vision of founding owner Erin Brayton, who wove nature and vintage goods into a backdrop of home and garden decor.
We will all be treated to a little background music, performed by local cellist Betsy Hinkle as we enjoy (and possibly acquire) Rachel's artwork and shop.
Many of you know that Erin passed away in late spring after a long battle with cancer. In addition to starting BSHG, Erin's passions included music, gardening and birding. This evening I will be giving away a membership to the Boston Nature Center, a place near and dear to Erin's heart. I also will allocate a portion of the evening's sales to the BNC in Erin's name.
I hope you can join me in celebration.
